RCT stands for Rapid Change Technology, which is a unique system for Swix classic roller skis with CNC machined wheel slots on the fork and new axles/wheel system with integrated screws offering best directional stability. The RCT system fits the Swix Roadline Classic and Swix Triac Carbon Classic. Won't fit on the older Swix C2 model.

Width of outside of wheel spacers is 51.6mm. Wheel spacers are 3.5mm thick each. Fit into 6.4 mm slotted forks, so only fit Swix.

SWIX Classic RCT Rear Wheel (Ratcheting)

    Posted by M. on Jul 11th 2026

These wheels run smooth and solid, and handle a variety of road surfaces quite well. Rain can cause a bit of slippage on the kick, and high-speed turns can get a little unstable even on dry ground, but that sort of comes with the territory of wider wheels. Let me be clear: These wheels are heavy, anf beefy. They can handle an emorous beating, and wear well if (if you change skis to match distanve on each leg). My only complaint: After about 2 years, and more than 1000 to 1500km, the ratchet on one of my wheels catastrophically failed -- I think because either dirt or dissolved salt from a rainy road right after winter got into the bearing. Either way -- two years of continuous use in sub-optimal weather on horrifically paved roads before component failure seems like pretty good longevity to me. 4 stars, only because of a catastrophic ratchet failure with little prior indication (again, though, after nearly two years of heavy use, so take that with a grain of salt).
